Are the in-ceiling/in-wall speaker grills paintable?

All of the in-ceiling/in-wall speaker grills are paintable. Remove the grill from the speaker and the scrim from the underside of the grill before you start painting. This is the material found covering the inside of the grill. Use some light/fine weight sand paper to rough the grill surface, then apply some rubbing alcohol to the speaker grill to remove any dirt or oils from handling. Use several light coats of paint to avoid an uneven application. Spraying the paint gives a more even coat and does not clog the grill holes.
